Dear Alli

Dear Alli Privacy Policy

Effective 6 September 2026, updated 23 September 2026 (what the Pipeline screen sends). Dear Alli is a product of Go To 11 Communication Strategies. Questions: kennysolway@goto11.ca.

Dear Alli is a Chrome extension that helps a coach write better LinkedIn direct messages, connection openers, and post comments. This policy explains exactly what it accesses, when, and where that data goes.

What it accesses, and when

What it sends, and where

When you click to capture, the text you captured and your pairing code are sent over an encrypted connection to the Dear Alli backend (hosted on Netlify) to generate your draft. In the course of producing that draft:

Anonymous benchmark

To help every coach improve, Dear Alli pools usage into a shared benchmark. The pool carries only the shape of a message (its length, whether it asked a question, the opener style), the channel, and the outcome. It never contains your name, the other person's name, or the words of any message. Your own private scoreboard keeps the full text; the shared pool never does.

What it does not do

Dear Alli learns from patterns across all coaches. Your actual conversations are never shown to anyone else. When Alli Rizacos corrects a draft, what the model learns from is the shape of the situation and the corrected reply with names removed, never the other coach's messages.

Where your data lives

Your data is stored and processed in the United States, by the companies named below. Go To 11 Communication Strategies is in Toronto, Canada, and there is no Canadian or European copy. If that matters for your own obligations, the data processing terms say more.

The people you message

Dear Alli also handles information about the people on the other side of your conversations: their names, headlines, messages and posts, as they appear in what you capture. That information is used only to draft your reply, is stored as part of your conversation history, and is deleted with it. If one of them asks about it, through you or directly, we treat the request the same way we treat yours: access, correction or erasure, by email to kennysolway@goto11.ca, answered within thirty days.

Third parties

Eight companies and one person receive data, and no others. Anthropic writes the coaching, so every message reaches it. Anthropic keeps what it receives for up to 30 days under its API terms, then deletes it, and does not train on it. OpenAI transcribes voice notes, and is reached only when you send audio. Notion stores your coach profile and conversation history. Netlify runs the application. Slack carries the private review channel above, and the legacy channel for the few coaches still on Slack. Supabase keeps the function log: timings, status codes and token counts keyed to your coach id, never message text. Authentic Results (Alli Rizacos of Authentic Results) reads the review channel to correct the coaching. Resend sends account email and no conversation content. Stripe takes payment; card details go straight to Stripe and never reach us. Each handles data under its own terms. Nothing is sold, and that list is checked against the code on every release. The fuller account is at dearalli.goto11.ca/your-data.

Retention and your choices

Records are kept while your account is open, because the history is what makes the coaching improve. When your account closes we delete everything within thirty days, whether or not you ask. Notion holds deleted records in its own trash for a further thirty days, after which they are gone.

Ask sooner and it goes sooner: profile, conversations, drafts and scoreboard. One copy takes longer. The private review channel above is not cleared by hand and instead ages out on its own within ninety days of a draft being written. You can also ask for a copy of your conversations in a file. Email kennysolway@goto11.ca, or use the delete my data page: it takes your pairing code or your email, confirms by email the same minute, and the request is listed every day until it is done.

If something goes wrong

If we learn of a breach that creates a real risk of significant harm to you or to the people in your conversations, we will tell you directly and without undue delay, report it to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as the law requires, and say what we know, including what we do not yet know. We keep a record of every breach, whatever its size, for twenty-four months.

Who is accountable

Kenny Solway, Managing Director of Go To 11 Communication Strategies, is the person accountable for this policy and for how Dear Alli handles personal information, including requests from Quebec under Law 25. Reach him at kennysolway@goto11.ca.

Changes

If this policy changes, the effective date above will be updated.
